How can I manage the Organizational Structure using an Excel File

As an Admin, you can organize your hierarchy almost any way you need using an excel file. First, you need to download the template that will be used to set up or modify your organizational structure. To do so, head to the Admin Panel and select Set up Organization under the Members tab. On this page, select the Units tab and then click Download Template.

Once downloaded you can check that the excel template consists of 7 different sheets.

  1. Sheet "Create Unit": Add the name of a unit you want to create.
  2. Sheet "Create Above Unit": Add the name and the type of the above unit you want to create.
  3. Sheet "Delete Unit": Add the name of the unit that you want to be deleted. It should already exist in your Academy's hierarchy (In case you have 2 units with the same name in your Academy, this will delete none of them).
  4. Sheet "Delete Above Unit": Add the name and the type of the above unit that you want to be deleted. It should already exist in your Academy's hierarchy (In case you have 2 above units with the same name and type in your Academy, this will delete none of them).
  5. Sheet "Rename Unit": Add the existing name of the unit and the one you want to set as new. (In case you have 2 units with the same name in your Academy, this will rename none of them).
  6. Sheet "Rename Above Unit": Add the name and the type of the above unit that already exists in your Academy's hierarchy and the new name you want to set (In case you have 2 above units with the same name and type in your Academy, this will rename none of them).
  7. Sheet "Relations": Add the name of the unit and the name and type of the above unit that the unit should be connected with.

Once the excel file is ready you can go to the same page where you downloaded the template, and click Upload Template.

This will result in creating or modifying your organization's structure.
