We are moving the Schoox application to a dedicated subdomain to organize information better and improve navigation. As a result, the URL for your Schoox academy will change from www.schoox.com to app.schoox.com. The corresponding login experience will be simplified from www.schoox.com/login.php to app.schoox.com.
This change will go into effect on January 27, 2024.
Why the change?
This is a technical update that Schoox is making to ensure the best experience for customers and their users through improved application performance, security, and scalability.
Do I need to take any immediate action?
This change should be minimally disruptive to your organization. We will have automatic redirects in place so that any existing links or attempts to go to www.schoox.com pages will go to the corresponding app.schoox.com link instead.
This means your learners may not even notice the change, but as a best practice, we recommend that you inform your users so that they can update any personal links or bookmarks they have set up after the January 27 transition date.
The only immediate action is for those organizations who reference an academy URL in any applications, whitelisting, or other special cases. In this case, please inform and work with your IT team to update those links. If they have explicitly approved www.schoox.com instead of *.schoox.com, they will need to update it or add app.schoox.com to the approved “whitelist” before the transition date so that there is no disruption to employee access.
What will happen if a user lands on an old page?
The redirects we’ll have set up will automatically redirect users so that any attempts to reach www.schoox.com/login.php or www.schoox.com academy pages will go to the app.schoox.com domain instead. The Schoox marketing website will continue to have a Login link at the top right to access the application; however, end users should be directed to the new login page for the most efficient experience.
Do I need to take any action after the transition date?
Schoox users will need to update any bookmarks or links they have saved to login, or direct links to pages after they login. If applicable, your training materials or documents that link to Schoox pages will need to reflect the new URLs.

How will training materials be affected by the change?
Schoox training documentation will reflect the change to login instructions as of the January effective date. Any custom training materials that are unique to your academy will need to be edited to replace URLs with the new app.schoox.com subdomain by June 30th, the planned date for ending redirects.
Will this change impact event links, QR codes, internal links from the HTML gadget, or any other links we have to Schoox?
Yes, all links will be impacted. In the immediate term, these will be handled by the temporary redirects, but will need to be updated by June 30th, 2024, the planned date for ending redirects.
How quickly do I need to update these materials? Does it have to be done before January 27?
No, there is no need to rush to update training materials as there will be temporary redirects in place so that links are not broken. But we do recommend that all training materials and old links are updated before June 30th, 2024, the planned date for ending redirects.
We use SSO or have a custom redirect URL for our Schoox academy. How will we be impacted?
The login pages for academies with SSO or custom redirect URLs will not be affected, however once a user logs in, the academy pages will also reflect the change to app.schoox.com.
Can we begin to use app.schoox.com before the transition date?
No, we do not recommend logging in via app.schoox.com until the transition date on January 27, 2024.
