In Schoox it is very easy to share content with others (friends, co-workers, corporate library, etc). To share content with the Academy library you have the following options:
Add Content From Within an Academy Library
To add a lecture directly to your Academy library, select Resources (Library in some academies) in your navigation bar. Then click either Add URL or Upload File.
1A) 'Add URL'
You can add pages from other websites as lectures. These are simply references; nothing from other sites will actually be brought into your library. Examples include YouTube or Vimeo videos, articles, and blogs.
To add, click the Add URL button, enter the site’s address into the space provided, and click Fetch.
In the window that appears, fill in the appropriate information, set Save to Personal Resources (Save to Personal Library) to Yes and click Save. You can also share the lecture to any academy their corporate library you have those permissions for, under Choose additional destinations for your file. See: Adding Library Content
1B) 'Upload a file'
You are also able to add various documents, videos, or SCORM files to your library.
You have the option of uploading one or more files from several different sources. Clicking the desired source in the left-hand column will walk you through the steps for that appropriate source.
After the upload process ends, you will be taken to the upload page, where you'll wait for your file to convert. Similar to uploading web based material, you are given the option to share the file. You can share it, for example with groups, or put it directly as a lecture into a course. When finished, save your file and return to your academy library.
Add Content from Within Your Personal Library
To head to your personal resources (library), click on the Schoox X on the right of your navigation menu. This leads you to your personal page, independent of any academies you are a member of.
Select Resources (Library) in the navigation menu to get to your personal resources. You can decide to either add content through Add URL or Upload File.
Sharing Content
When you have uploaded content in your personal resources (library), you can use the Share option to share this content with others. From your personal resources, click on Share to open a pop-up with options to share the content. This can be your friends within the academies, groups you are a member of, academies you have share permissions in, or you can share it over email.
You can mix and match the recipients, and use Message to send a personalized message with it. Click Send to share the content with the recipients selected.
Outside of information you uploaded, you can discover content and share it with others in places like:
The public library on Schoox (i.e. the place where all publicly shared content appears)
A group wall or group library (groups are a very powerful collaboration & knowledge sharing tool)
