Courses Not Appearing in a Curriculum Under the Training Tab

When reviewing a Curriculum under Training → Curricula, you may notice that you are logged in as another user and they see “0 courses”, even though courses are correctly added and visible in the administrative view under Manage → Courses → Edit Courses .

This can happen when the language settings between the curriculum, its courses, and the learner’s profile are not aligned.

Understanding How Language Settings Affect Visibility

Each curriculum and course in your academy is assigned to a specific language. In addition, each learner can set a preferred language in their profile.

When a learner views a curriculum, the system compares these language settings:

  • Curriculum language

  • Course language

  • Learner profile language

For courses to display correctly in the curriculum view, all three must match. If there’s a mismatch—for example, if the curriculum is set to English, the courses are set to English, and the learner has not selected a language—then the curriculum may appear as though it contains no courses.

How to Ensure Courses Display Correctly

To make sure all courses appear as expected:

  1. Match the languages

    • Set the curriculum's default language to match the course language (e.g., both set to English).

  2. Set the learner’s profile language

    • Encourage learners to select a language in their profile that aligns with the curriculum and course language.

  3. Keep it consistent

    • Consistency between the course language, curriculum language, and learner profile language ensures everything displays smoothly.

Best Practice

To maintain a consistent learner experience:

  • Always confirm that the curriculum's language matches the language of its courses.

  • Encourage all learners to select a preferred language in their profile.

By keeping language settings aligned, you ensure that curricula display all their courses clearly and accurately across the platform.
