Instructors play an important role in Schoox, supporting the management of courses, curricula, and events. In all cases, Administrators, Training Managers with the appropriate edit permissions (Update Courses, Update Curricula, Edit Events), and the Primary Instructor of a course, curriculum, or event have the ability to add or remove instructors.
Course Instructors
This role is assigned to users either when they create a course or when an administrator or another instructor designates them to manage a course. For users who are not the original course creators, the Instructor role can only be assigned within the context of a specific course and applies exclusively to that course.
Course instructors can do the following:
- Edit Course Info
- Edit Lectures
- Add Poll, Exam, or On-the-job training
- Invite members to enroll
- Copy, archive or delete the course
Additionally, Course Instructors may be granted the following advanced permissions, provided these are enabled within their assigned job roles (such as Head of Above Unit and Assistant, Unit Manager, and Assistant):
- Send course announcements
- Assign training
- Create in-class training or live-session for the course
- Assess On-the-Job Training Performance
Curriculum Instructors
This role is assigned to users either when they create a curriculum or when an administrator or another instructor designates them to manage one. For users who are not the original creators, the Instructor role can only be assigned within the context of a specific curriculum and applies exclusively to that curriculum.
Curriculum instructors can do the following:
- Edit Curriculum Info
- Edit Curriculum Courses
- Invite members to enroll
- Archive or delete the curriculum
Additionally, Curriculum Instructors may be granted the following advanced permissions, provided these are enabled within their assigned job roles (such as Head of Above Unit and Assistant, Unit Manager, and Assistant):
- Send curriculum announcements
- Assign curriculum
Event Instructors
This role is assigned to users either when they create an event or when the event creator designates them to manage the event’s registrants page. The Instructor role can be assigned within the context of each event and applies exclusively to the selected event.
Event Instructors are responsible for the following actions:
- Approving or declining user registrations
- Evaluating user attendance, including assigning scores and recording attendance duration
