Updating Multiple Users' Preferred Language

You, as an Admin can update several users' preferred language at one time by setting an automated rule.

To do so, select Admin in the upper navigation bar. Then, under Members, select Set Preferred Content Language

Step 1: Select Language

Select the desired language from the list! Use the search field to limit your results.

Step 2: Select Users

After the desired language is selected, it is time to select who should have this preferred language. You have the option to select either specific employees (Individual assignment) or several individuals based on your organizational structure (Advanced assignment).

Individual Assignment

You can find individuals easier using the search field and drop-down filter menus. To select an individual, simply click the plus symbol next to their name in the left-hand column. The user will then appear in the right-hand Selected column. To remove an individual from the list, click their minus symbol.

After selecting the users, add a message if needed.

Multi-language curricula have matching courses in more than one language, and will assign a course based on the user's preferred language. Checking the Change Curricula Language box will automatically change the users' preferred language to any of these curricula to which they are already a part.

Finally, select the blue Set Language button to complete the process.

Advanced assignment

You can also select users based on their job and location. Moreover, you can create an assignment rule to be applied automatically in the future.

Under Advanced assignment, select the specific job to which this process should be applied. Then, select both the desired Above Units and Units in their respective columns, filtering using the drop-down menus, if needed. The number of individuals affected will appear below.

Check Automated assignment rule to create a rule for this language that will be applied also to future hires that fit this criteria.

You can also Exclude academy members added before a specific date.
