With Schoox's Coaching Forms, you will be able to create and customize the form to fit your needs. Each form can have different sections and flows, as well as signature requirements.
Before you start creating forms, we need to setup the areas known as Topics these forms should live in. Hover over Training in the top navigation bar, and select Coaching Sessions.
Forms can be categorized into topics by department or specialized area, and each may require specific items an individual must complete.
To add a Topic, select Edit Mode on the right panel of the Coaching Sessions page. This will open the ability to change existing Topics or define a new topic through the add new Topics.
Note: To save a form, you must have a Topic for it to nest it in.
Creating a Form
To start the process of creating a new form, select Admin on the top nav, then find Coaching on the left panel, and finally, select Forms. Once on the Forms page, select Add Form.
When creating the actual Coaching Form, several decisions need to be made around how the form will be structured and what options should be utilized.
Title — This is helpful for a Coach to understand what this form might be used for. A more descriptive title will help coaches select the right form for the right session.
Topic — As mentioned above, we need to select a Topic for the form to live in. This will allow for like forms to be grouped together for ease of access.
Description — Descriptions are always helpful, especially to those who may be unfamiliar with the original intent of the form.
Allow coachees to view their form — Should the individual who is being coached have the ability to review the form. In Certain instances, a form might be more of a formal process, reserved for managers to help their team members improve, but the information they put on the form might not be intended for a coachee to view.
Allow coachees to download their completed form — Once completed, do you want the coachee to be able to download a PDF of their completed form?
Allow coaches to edit the form after they complete the session — Once completed, go you want the coach to be able to edit the form?
Sign-off is required from — This option can be determined based on the formality required. This can be a simple check the box or a signature by either the Coach, the Coachee, or both.
There are three types of items that can be selected:
Closed-ended - This option indicates whether the item was done or not providing the coach a Yes, No, or N/A as evaluation options.
Open-ended - The coach must provide information as feedback on this option.
Statement - This is a simple check off that the individual or Coach saw the provided statement.
With the use of Sections, a form can be configured to focus on different areas within the same coaching session. Different sections can be focused on similar items or topics. For example, a section may focus on how an individual performs on a number of items during an interaction with a customer or a guest.
The true use is to tailor the experience to find gaps in training or bad habits, so making sure the sections are denoted clearly will be helpful for the coach to know what to focus on within that section.
