In Schoox it is very easy to share content with others. To share content with the Academy library, first, click Content on the upper navigation panel.
When adding content you have the following options: to Add a URL or Upload a file.
Add URL
In Schoox, you can share pages from other websites. These pages are simple references; nothing from that site will actually be brought into your Library. Examples include YouTube or Vimeo videos, articles, and blogs.
Simply, click the Add Url button, enter the site’s address into the space provided, and click Fetch.
In the window that appears, fill in the required information which is the Title and the Category under which this file will be saved. You can also add more information such as a Description, Tags, and Language.
Please note that only categories where you have permission to add content will populate as options.
You can also (optionally) set an expiration date, after which this item will be moved to deleted items. When adding an expiration date, you can also select if, after expiration, this item will also be removed from all connected courses.
Upload a file
You are also able to add various documents, videos, and/or scorm/aicc files from your device directly to your Library. You have the choice of uploading one or more files from various sources. Clicking the desired source on the left-hand column will walk you through the steps for that appropriate source.
After uploading the file, you will be taken to the Files in Process page, where you'll have to wait until your file is converted.
As with the uploading of web-based material, fill in the required information which is the Title and the Category under which this file will be saved.
Tips!
- You can choose to share the URLs/files you upload with one or more academies or groups you may be a member of and have the authorization to share content with. You can also put these URLs/files directly into a course you have created, as a lecture, or into a curriculum or an event as Supplemental Material.
- When it comes to videos, you have the option to add subtitles by uploading the relevant file (ie. vtt, .srt).
After uploading your content items, you may have the option to edit them. Read more on editing your Content items here: What options are available when editing my library items?
