As an Academy Administrator, Training Manager or Manager with the relevant permission enabled (Complete Training), you are able to mark an individual’s course, curriculum, or lecture progress as completed if needed.
Courses
To mark a course as completed for a student, navigate to the Employees Dashboard under Reporting, and click the individual’s name.
To mark a single course as completed for this user, find the course in question and click the wrench icon within that course. Click on the Mark as completed button, add the Completion date and the Time Spent, add a Comment if needed, and hit Save. You can then add a specific completion date and time if you want to.
Please note that:
- Ιf the user you are attempting to mark as complete already has an active completion, the action cannot be performed. This may occur when a lecture was added to the course while the 'Maintain Progress' setting was set to No, resulting in the user having an active completion with reduced progress. Read more on how to maintain users' course progress: Managing Course Progress When a Lecture is Added/Updated
When a course is manually marked as complete for a learner, the completion is permanently recorded in the learner’s training history. Currently, there is no option in the Schoox interface to reverse or remove a course completion once it has been recorded. This behavior is intended to prevent the accidental loss of important historical training records. For additional details, please refer to Managing an Accidental Course Completion.
Curricula
To mark a curriculum as completed for a student, navigate to the Employees Dashboard under Reporting, and click the individual’s name. Then select the Curricula tab.
To mark a single curriculum as completed for this user, find the curriculum in question and click the wrench icon within that curriculum. Select if you only want to mark the curriculum as completed or both the curriculum and its courses, and click Save. You can then add a Completion date and a Comment if needed. Don't forget to click Save when finished!
Please note that if the user you are attempting to mark as complete already has an active completion, the action cannot be performed. This situation may occur when a course was added to the curriculum while the 'Maintain Progress' setting was set to No, resulting in the user having an active completion but with reduced progress. Tips!
-
- If you mark a course/curriculum as complete with a past completion date, the certificate and the current course/curriculum progress will be affected based on the Course/Curriculum settings.
As an example, if the completion date was 01/01/2016 and the course certificate expiration period was set to 12 months, the Certificate that will be issued will be automatically marked as an expired one - You can later track the courses/curricula that have been Marked as Completed for users, by using the Completed by Admin field in Report Builder. You can also use the Complete by Admin Comments field to review any comments that have been added for these users.
Lectures
To mark one or more lectures as completed for a student, navigate to the Employees Dashboard under Reporting, and click on the individual’s name. Locate the course containing the lecture in question and select Details.
To mark a specific lecture as complete, click the wrench icon next to that lecture, choose Mark as completed, adjust the Completion time if necessary, and click Save.
